We’re enjoying the Chai Snickerdoodles posted by Baking Bites. I added 1/8 tsp black pepper and 1/2 crushed star anise to the spices. They’re a bit on the sweet side for our tastes, so most likely I’ll cut the sugar back by 1/2 and see how they do. If anyone but me is reading this, please excuse the poor picture quality.
The pears are being eaten in hand. The Packham are great, but we found the Abate Fetel to be a bit mealy. Perhaps that’s due to when they were picked. We’ll finish the second one of those this evening, so we’ll know better how well we like the latter for fresh eating.
